Mapping Spacetime (Public Space AV Research)

Mapping Spacetime is a research series within Pitch Shifting focused on live audiovisual performance in public space.

The work explores time and space as a coupled perceptual field, approached through sound, real-time visual processes, and site-responsive interaction.

Performances take place in direct relation to architectural surfaces, environmental conditions, and audience movement. Sound and image are projected and processed in real time, producing shifting spatial situations that respond to location, density, and movement.

“Mapping” refers to the projection and modulation of visual material onto physical structures, combined with sound-driven processes that produce spatially distributed audiovisual conditions.

Each iteration unfolds as a situated performance in which gesture, frequency, light, and environment interact within a single evolving field.
