Pitch Shifting Group — Expanded Collaborative Platform
Aside from performing as the duo Grgur Savić and Sanja Star, Pitch Shifting operates as an expanded collaborative platform in varying ensemble configurations.
The project develops through performances with artists working across experimental music, sound art, and contemporary improvisation. Collaborations include Richard Scott, Rieko Okuda, Samuel Hall, Ute Wassermann, Emilio Gordoa, Sofia Borges, Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø, Daniel Craig, Tomomi Adachi, Nicolas Collins, and others.

Pitch Shifting Group
Pitch Shifting Group is a flexible performance configuration in which the core duo is joined by rotating collaborators. Each formation develops its own sonic and visual structure through real-time interaction.
The work operates through improvisation, generative systems, and live audiovisual feedback processes. Sound, electronics, acoustic instruments, and visual systems function as interconnected elements within a single evolving environment.
Collaborating artists contribute distinct material approaches, allowing each performance to form a unique configuration of sound, gesture, and visual articulation.
More stable extended members include Richard Scott and Samuel Hall, who regularly contribute to the development and performance of the ensemble structure.
Pitch Shifting develops through experimentation, collaboration, and interdisciplinary exchange.
The practice focuses on adaptability, process, and collective construction of sound and image systems. Each configuration emerges through interaction between individual artistic languages, forming temporary structures shaped by listening, response, and shared attention.
“A fusion of space and time, sounds of electronic and acoustic instruments, music and video art, the experience of a whole previous life and an intuitive presage of the future. All of this is an improvised performance of the Pitch Shifting Group: four personalities who energize the common light of the imagination” – Panda Platforma
Pitch Shifting feat. Richard Scott
Pitch Shifting feat. Richard Scott brings together modular synthesis, live electronics, acoustic performance, and real-time visual systems.
Richard Scott works with generative modular systems and interactive synthesis processes. The ensemble structure allows sound, image, and interaction to develop through continuous modulation and response.
Grgur Savić contributes reeds, electronics, and object-based sound structures. Sanja Star develops real-time manipulated visual systems based on generative 3D material and live audiovisual response.
The configuration produces evolving performance environments in which no fixed outcome is defined in advance, and each iteration develops through system interaction.
